Recently, Arianna Woodford, a senior at Centennial, placed 2nd for the high school division in a statewide artwork competition.

The contest that Woodford competed in was the annual Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented Conference. The theme this year for the contest was “The Beauty of Colorado Inside and Out.”

Woodford said that she was not nervous about the competition, as she had participated in many contests beforehand.

She also said that she has always had an interest in art and drawing. Woodford got into painting because of the vivid images that can be created using the medium.

Woodford did not have a plan at first for her artwork, saying “I always just go with the flow” and “not everything is planned out.”
