Centennial girls basketball vs. Pueblo East

The Centennialight
On February 6, 2026 the Centennial girls basketball team played Pueblo East at a home game where they took a loss 82-18.
Immediately in the game, the Eagles were determined to score as much as they could, and with this intense integrity they were able to score 35 points in the first quarter. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, the girls were only able to manage 3 points during this time.
The first half ended the way it started in which East fans were happy to see another 26 points added to the scoreboard, and only 6 for Centennial. The Bulldogs scored their final 9 points in the third quarter, but East scored 21 more points in the second half leaving the score 82-18.
Coming from East, freshman Dejanay Arrington scored 24 points. Her teammate, senior Myah Abeyta, scored an additional 17 points while senior Ava Andrada scored another 13 points.
Together, the three girls amazingly totaled 53 points for the Eagles. Without them, the Eagles scored 28 points coming from 5 other players.
For the Bulldogs, Centennial senior Allison Vigil scored 18 points, which was closely followed by sophomore Makenzie Franco who had 17 points.
Excluding Vigil and Franco, the Centennial players scored an average 9 points each, some of them scoring as much as 11 points.
Still, this team effort was not enough to compete with the Eagles undying effort to keep their lead. With this loss, the Bulldogs fell 10-7 in the campaign.
