A Tough Loss

By Mikayla Henson

November 4, 2019

The Centennial boys’ football team took a tough loss against Pueblo South on November 2, 2019.

The Bulldogs lost 56-27, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t go down without a fight.

South fumbled it on the first kickoff of the game, and Centennial recovered it.

This play allowed Devin Blue to find Justin Cruz in the end zone two plays after.

It didn’t take long for the Colts to strike back though, they scored on the next sequence of plays.

Even though the boys lost, Cruz finished with 120 yards on 11 catches all from Blue. Blue finished with 236 passing yards and two touchdowns in the air. Ethan Gallegos also finished with 116 receiving yards.

The Bulldogs will be playing their last game against Pueblo County on November 7 at 7 pm at Dutch Clark.
