They Might Be Giants preform “Doctor Worm”

May 6, 2025 saw a new television performance by They Might Be Giants since their last performance of “Brontosaurus” in 2023. 


On band member John Flansburgh's 65th birthday, the band played a beloved song, "Doctor Worm", on Jimmy Kimmel. "Doctor Worm" has become a fan favorite song over the years even though it has never been featured on a studio album before, its first appearance on the live album Severe Tire Damage. 


The performance featured the entire band John Flansburgh, John Linnell, Danny Weinkauf, Dan Miller, and Marty Beller, as well as the horns Dan Levine, Mark Pender, and Stan Harrison. The Beast Of Horns album version of Doctor Worm being selected to include the horns. 


Although the band didn't announce a new album, Beast Of Horns was promoted at the start of their performance which is a fantastic live album from 2024. The album consists of recorded performances from 2022 and 2023 live concerts.
