Remembering WWII through Centennial artists

By Aubrey Cordova

October 20, 2019

Thursday evening Centennial High School hosted a small art show, that displayed World War II themed art.

Each piece differs from the next. There were pieces that were similar, but they revealed the uniqueness and creativity of each individual artist.

There were a lot of eye catching pieces including one that was not done by a student. Mrs. April Vickey, the art teacher at Centennial High School shared her own take on the WWII theme. She presented her drawing and shading skills in a heartfelt kneeling soldier piece.

Another eye catching piece was a more simple but just as skilled of an eye reflecting a skull done by a student named Sage.

This is just the beginning of the amazing art that the Centennial students are capable of.
